About Scattercrate

Scattercrate is a small studio that makes art objects for people who think sideways — 1000-piece puzzles, gallery-wrapped canvas prints, and hardcover journals, each built from one original artwork.

One concept, one run

We work in numbered drops. Each drop starts as a single visual idea — a fog-dark forest, a nebula split by a fracture, a gradient with teeth — and becomes a small family of objects: something to build, something to hang, something to write in. When a drop is done, it's done. The archive remembers; the catalog moves on.

Process, in the open

Each design is the survivor of a much larger pile — dozens of directions explored and hundreds of frames cut for the one composition that finally earns the wall. The interesting question was never the tool; it's whether the work holds up once it's hanging in your room. We publish the process on the blog because the editing is half the craft.

Who's behind it

Scattercrate is led by Scatterboxx and backed by the Noodlebake Records family — an independent label and lab that's been making strange, deliberate things for years. The same sensibility that runs the music runs the store: small batches, real points of view, no filler.

How it's made

Every piece is printed on demand by our production partners and shipped to you directly — no warehouse of unsold stock, no waste. Production details, timelines, and our replacement promise live on the Shipping & Returns page.
